I never thought about cures for headaches until one day in August 2011, my monthly headaches just suddenly disappeared.
Since getting consistent headaches each month because of my monthly period, I’ve always thought that it was normal to have it. Previously I didn’t get headaches but there were other things associated with my monthly period like breast tenderness, cramps, mood swings, so I didn’t really wonder.
In August 2011, my husband and I started juicing. He was interested in losing some weight while I was just interested in being healthy. I’ve heard so much about juicing, read about it and watch some videos so I thought, why not try it?
I wasn’t interested in eating 5 carrots at a time or five apples at a time but if it was juiced, that would be more interesting for me. I’d get the nutrients without having to chew it all up. Fair enough, so I started juicing, too.
One day in August, I was reading this article about PMS as I was browsing a website and suddenly it dawned on me. I didn’t get my normal dose of headache this month! However did that happen? I didn’t do anything special except juicing. That must have been it!
The following month, I was still juicing. My period came and no headaches! Now, I’m certain it was the juicing that made the difference.
Dr. Max Gerson, the migraine doctor was right. Juicing helps a lot. He used to have severe migraine headaches himself and I’ve read that he focused his initial diet experiments on preventing his headaches. Then one of his patients discovered that the “migraine diet” cured his skin tuberculosis.
His daughter Charlotte Gerson said: “Healing the body, you cannot heal one disease. When you truly heal, the body heals everything…. And that’s how he got into other chronic diseases which he never set out to do. He just wanted to cure his own migraine headaches.”
Indeed there are cures for headaches and juicing is one of them.
